Review Another Animation

As a part of the final project we had to evaluate another groups animation. I have chosen to evaluate Rhians animation "Solution No Pollution". 

Pollution has been and still is one of the biggest issues in the world and will continue to be a problem of the further.

This is one of the animations I thought stood out from the rest. It was evident from watching the animation that it was well planned and thought through. For example, being able to make the flames on the fire look realistic must if took some thought and consideration. Rhian was one of the minority who used paper for the animation instead of clay and I don't think it worked as a disadvantage for her. 

Overall, I found Rhians animation flowed and interesting and found it reflected her hard work.

To make this animation I worked in a group of three. My main role was to design and make the character models and tree for the scenery. As well as take control of the camera for the animation. The end product of the animation turned out relevantly how we expected.

Issues

Whilst making the animation there was some problems and issues we had to overcome before the animation was complete.

As we decided to record the sound on audacity, and filmed the animation on Zu3D when it came to the combining the sound and film it didn't quite match. So we cut the script slightly to match the filming which solved the issue. 

We also had an issue uploading the sound onto the animation

When filming something we struggled with was lighting. Even with a light our lighting was an issue. When trying to fix the tone on Zu3d, if we got the correct brightness it would change the colour blue to pink. So in the end we had no choice but to continue filming with the lighting we had. When showing the animation it was mentioned how good it was that the lighting fitted the mood of Timmy. This wasn't our plan but it worked out as advantage.

If I was to carryout this project again  I would record the sound in sections instead as a whole I think this would've prevented some of the sound issues that was experienced.
